Assistance

We provide food, shelter, and education for Zimbabwean children affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis in southern Africa.

Donations and the proceeds from statue sales flow back to the children of Zimbabwe to support community-initiated projects. Close oversight guarantees that the financial support truly reaches the children in need. To learn more about assistance that is being provided to Zimbabwean children by an organization like ours in Germany, please visit the website of the Herz HD Foundation.

NZEVE

NZEVE

NZEVE is located in Manicaland, Zimbabwe's Eastern and most populated province, providing services for deaf people. NZEVE has a preschool and family centre on the same site as a workshop and meeting place for out-of-school deaf youth and deaf adults. NZEVE provides a place where deaf children can play with hearing children of their own age and learn speech in a place where their home language -- sign language -- is also understood and used.

Shingirirai Trust

Shingirirai Trust is a grassroots organization founded by a group of women in 2002 to provide psychosocial support to orphans and vulnerable children in their local community. In one proposal they state, "At the recent ICASA HIV/AIDS conference in Nigeria the deputy head of UNAIDS, M. Sidibe said that there is a great need for interventions that are 'more creative, more hands-on and more in keeping with cultural reality' to the challenge of AIDS in Africa. Shingirirai Trust believes that their projects do indeed respond to the needs of their community in creative and hand-on ways." Learn more
